Kathleen Ann Brumagin—devoted wife, caring mother, and loving grandmother—joined God in peace at the age of 75 on March 3, 2023 in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
Kathy (KT) was born on September 30, 1947 to Pearl and James (Chris) Roland. She grew up in Maple Heights, and later graduated from Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing in 1969 and then certified as a Registered Nurse (RN), specializing in psychiatric nursing at various hospitals in Northeast Ohio. Kathy dedicated her life to caring for her patients, spending nearly 30 years in a career she loved.
Upon retirement, she and her husband fulfilled her childhood dream of owning a farm and adopting horses, and her compassion and love extended to many dogs, cats (and even goats).
Kathy enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, playing cards, day trips to casinos, and volunteering at the Geauga County Humane Society.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edd Brumagin, and her four siblings, Terry (Joyce), Thomas (Darlene), Kristine, and Robert. Left to cherish her memories are her four boys, Timothy (Carol), Christopher (Ashley), Todd (Kristie), and Matthew (Anne-Marie); her six grandchildren, Tyler, Connor, Lauren, Mallory, Tess, and Claire; her two stepchildren, Scott (Ruth) and Vicki (Lee); and her nine step-grandchildren, Edd Nicholas (Jenna), Chad, Kaitlyn, Lindsey (Andrew), Kara (Garry), Travis (Kelsey), Samantha, Cassidy, and Jack. She is preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Luann. KT’s many surviving aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins will hold many beloved and favored memories of their time with her.
A celebration of life for family and friends to honor Kathy will be held on Saturday, April 1st 11:00 AM at The Church in Aurora, 146 South Chillicothe Road, Aurora, Ohio, 44202.
