MARGARET JEAN SCHAEF, 97, passed away surrounded by the love and memories of a life well lived. She was a woman with a heart of gold, known for her kindness, generosity, and the love she freely gave to others. Margaret touched many lives through her caring spirit and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved children, William, Billy, Candace, Debbie, Anthony, and Dominic.
Margaret is survived by her loving daughter, Threasa Cox, and Threasa’s life partner, Antonio Motusic, as well as Threasa’s former husband, David Cox. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Angela Cox and John Sim, Michelle Bates and Ricky Bates, David Cox and Nikki Cox, Victoria Motusic, and Clifford.
She was a proud great-grandmother to Jayden, Jaycob, Logan, Harper, Grayson Sim, Avelyn, and Lydia Bates, all of whom brought her great joy.
Margaret found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved Elvis Presley, enjoyed watching M*A*S*H with her grandchildren, and never missed a good western. She also adored Shirley Temple and carried so many treasured memories throughout her 97 years.
Her love, laughter, and generous spirit will remain in the hearts of her family forever. Margaret’s legacy is one of devotion, warmth, and unconditional love. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
Private family services will be held.
