Richard P. Hostutler
Born 10/21/1958 in Willowick, Ohio
to Harold and Mary Anne Hostutler (Sebrasky)
A Eastlake North High School Graduate of 1977
Passed away 03/22/2022 in his Kirtland Home surrounded by loved ones and his wife Sheryl of 16.5 years.
At the age of 63 Rick lost his 10 year battle to Kidney Cancer.
Rick was an avid car enthusiast owning more than 20 of his unique Hot Rods throughout the years. He would often tell his friends that his goal in life was to own as many different cars as possible, without driving his wife crazy! He retired from MotorCars Honda, after spending more than 30 years working as a Mechanic.
He could often be found at car shows all around the Lake Co. Area when not home working on, selling or buying another car. When Rick met Sheryl he quickly became a cat lover JUST LIKE HER leaving behind his babies Princess, Sylvester, Oscar & Felix. Rick enjoyed spending a lot of time in the kitchen with his mom and passing down family recipes to his boys and the family.
Rick leaves behind his Wife Shery M. K. Hostutler (Kamis), his brothers Bob (Kathy) & Jack (Trina), his sisters Sharon (Louis) & Lois (Ken), his two sons Nicholas (Brian) & Alexander (Amy), his father in law Peter Kamis, mother in law Donna Graham, bother in laws Russell Kamis (Kimberly) & Doug Kamis as well as 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
As per his wishes, a private Celebration of Life to honor Rick will be held at his home and catered by his favorite Italian Restaurant on a future date.
Rick was a great guy and always so much fun to be around. My deepest condolences to the whole family.
Sheryl…
We are thinking of you and Ricks family every day. What a heart break for all of you to lose him so soon. He was so fortunate to have you fight that cancer battle so bravely beside him.
(I did not know that he liked to cook too! I hope you might share one of his favorite recipes at some point. We’d be honored to try out a good dish.)
